Rajkya Sarvajanik Zila Pustakalya (District Library), Ramganj Mandi

Origin

The library is the district library of Kota district but as Kota already has Divisional library the district library for the district was established at Ramganj Mandi. It was established officially in September 2007 but is yet not functional properly because of lack of proper infrastructure. A new building will be constructed soon.

Building

Presently the library is sharing building with Panchayat Samiti Library in the Govt. Senior Secondary School premises.

Location

The library is presently located (though not properly functional) in the Govt. Senior Secondary School premises near the Ambedkar Choraha (Circle). It is at a walking distance from the city bus stand and railway station.

Staff

Collection

The library has a rich collection of 3000+ books. The collection is presently stored at Divisional Library, Kota and will be shifted when a proper building with all the facilities is available at Ramganj Mandi.

Membership

The library is not offering any membership presently due to lack of infrastructure.

Information Technology

The library is yet to acquire computer and other related material.

Working Hours

The library remains closed on every Sunday.
