Rules

All the district libraries, State Central Library and Divisional Libraries share the same rules and regulations.

Circulation

All the documents in the libraries are not for issue to the general public. Some collections are restricted to be consulted with the library premises by the registered members only. The rest are issued as under,

1. Books are issued/lent to registered members only. The members should produce the membership card issued by the library at the time of borrowing a book.
2. The members are categorised as Children and Adult. Each category is issued/lent library material as under,

   Category	No of Books	Duration
   Children	1	14 Days
   Adult	2	14 Days

3. A book can be reissued/renewed to a member if specifically requested and the book is not required by any other member in the library.
4. The borrower will be responsible for the safe custody of the book/any accompaning material. In case of loss/damage he/she will have to pay/replce the same.
5. For overdue books a fine at the rate of Rs 1/day/book will be charged.
