Origin
The Korean Cultural Centre in New Delhi is of very recent origin. The library started its services from 14th December 2012. The library is an integral part of the centre and is being deveoped and maintained accordingly. Its rich in literature from Korea (speciallly in Korean language) and literature on Korea. If there is anything you are looking for related to Korean you will find here.
The centre is offering many different services. It is teaching Korean language, teaching Taekwondo and Flower Arrangements to those who show interest in Korean culture. Aspirants can register themselves for these courses at the centre.
Building
The Korean Cultural Centre has a well furnished, state of the art and spacious building. The library shares the IInd floor with classrooms for different courses. It ocupies a spacious hall, well equipped with austhetic and comfortable furniture. The library is well lit with austhetic lighting and a cozy temperature is maintained, making it an ideal place for silent reading for hours together, a readers paradise. different kinds of furniture is available for different types of readers including comfort chairs, for long hour sittings. An wooden floored open space is also available on the terrace along the library with sitting arrangements in the open.
Location
The library is located at one of the prime locations of the capital, The Lajpat Nagar, facing the Ring Road. It is at a walking distance from the bus stop and the nearest Metro station is Moolchand. The famous Gupta Market is just behind the library. The region is hub of education with many institutes and coaching centres all around the place. Accomodation wise this is the most preffered place by the students who come for pursuing studies here. They find all the modern amenties here.

The library is in the process of hiring language experts for its ever developing Korean language collection.
Collection
Owing to its recent origin the library is in the process of developing its collection of valuable books in Korean and English. Being a modern library equal emphasis is being laid on acquiring non-print electronic resources. Presently the library has about 2000+ books on its shelves. But the numbers are continuously growing. The collection has been arranged subject wise and electronic catalogue is also being developed using ILS software e-granthalya. Reference sources, specially those abounding in on and about Korea make a considerable proportion of the collection. The library collection is being developed keeping in mind not only the students registered with the centre but a general reader also. Efforts are being made so that everybody should find something of his/her interest. Apart from the print material maps, atlases, CD & DVD collections are also available.
The centre subscribes to almost all the major newspapers and a number of magazines for its library and other departments.
Membership
Everybody who registers for membership with the centre becomes the member of the library also. The registration for the centre is offered to the students who enroll for different courses and the general public. The registration is for 2 years and is renewable thereafter.

Information Technology
The library is well equipped with state of the art modern technology. It has ten PCs with internet connectivity for its users. This means a vast sea of online information sources is also at the disposal of the library users along with rich library collection. The library is in the process of automation of its services. Photocopy facility is also available for users.
Working Hours
The library opens from Monday to Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Lunch break is from 12:30 noon to 2:00 pm.
The library remains closed on every Sunday, Gazetted Holidays and important Korean Holidays.
