District Library Fatehgarh
Origin
The Library was established in 1995. It was started a school, Govt. Senior Senior Secondary. Later in Nov. 1996 it was shifted to the present location.
Building
The library occupies a rented building, belonging to the Red Cross. The entrance faces North. The entrance opens into the Newspaper Reading Room. On the right is the Librairan's Room and toilets. Then from the newspaper reading room a corridor passes over to the Stack Room and the Reading Room. The Children Section is between the newspaper reading room and the stack room.
Location
The library is located just backside the Sirhind Bus Stand, which is a neighbouring city. Fatehgarh Sahib and Sirhind are two historic cities, sharing not only their history but borders also.
