Being public libraries the PPLS libraries maintain diverse kinds of collections for their users. For convenience the total collections of these libraries have been divided into different sections. Some of these sections also receive special fundings from state government and central organizations like Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF), K olkota. Though the collections are diverse but the Punjabi Literature dominates in all these libraries. In some of them it constitutes almost half of the total collection.
