District Library Ferozepur
Origin
This Library was established on 1stMarch 1980. It was started at 78, Chowk Road, Ferozepur Cantonment. On 1st Sept. 1986 it was shifted to its present location, the Red Cross Complex, Ferozepur City. Since then it is providing its services from this very location.
Building
The library occupies a rented building. The building belongs to Red Cross. The library is on the Ist floor of the building. Many other offices of the district administration are also operating from the same premises.
The library covers a total of 105 X 23 feet area with a hall of 80 X 23 feet serving as the Reading Room-cum-Stack Room with the Circulation Desk attached to it. The Librarian's Room also opens into this very hall. One Store and Toilets are also provided on the same floor for the library.
Location
The library is located on the Mall Road. This road joins the Ferozepur Cantonement to the Ferozepur City.
