District Library Nabha
Origin
The Library was established in 1946-47 i.e. just before or near independence of India in 1947. It was started at the Quila (Fort) of Nabha. It was serving its clientele from there till March 2007. On 16thMarch 2007 it was shifted to its present location.
Building
The building is new, recently constructed by the district administration. The building is part of the District Court Complex that accomodates all the important functional units of the district administration. The library is located on the Ist floor. It has been allotted a big hall of 45 X 24 feet dimensions. This hall has been divided into different sections very judiciously. The entrance faces south.
Location
The library is located towards the south of the city along with other district administrative units. This is an new building known as Administrative Complex or PUDA Complex or more popularly as Heera Enclave. This whole building has been constructed on modular pattern. Different administrative units have been different parts, library occuping the one of these.
